i am back on line-long one here
yup, I was fired from my job of 10 years, very nasty situation-and I am suing them. On to nice stuff. I missed talking with you guys/ladies and wanted to thank you for helping me with my first show. Here are the details. We entered halter- under force-23 horses all trained and all but me and Lynne do the show ciruit western. I was so scared I could hardly walk-Sonny on the other hand had a head full of excitement!!!There was a carnival in full swing next door and just wads of people and kids running around. We were second to last coming into the ring-Sonnys head went up and the tail lifted and he forgot he is the projeny of plow horses. I had to trot him in front of the judge and did the clucking sound-wish you could have seen him- head perfectly verticle, huge arch in that massive neck and the feet came up in the cutest prance ever. He was perfect. I swear he was grinning boy was full of himself. Then we had to stand still for 40 minutes-as the judeg went through that huge line up, that was not so great as the horse next to him was freaked-Sonny did a great job adn we WON 6th PLACE out of 23. Can you belive it? I almost fainted-we then had to wait 4 hours until the english stuff came up-he did a fine job-i however did not but I learned and my seat today is 10 times better. Donna (Sonnys owner) horse freaked and had to be removed so I gave her Sonny for the equitation-they were magnificent-they WON 2nd PLACE!!!!! By that time he was exhausted and fed up and wanted to go home-In one of my rides I just took him out and excused myself to save the little bit of juice left in him for Donna.I will post pics this weekend, the barn people made a really nice disk for me-which is being passed around at the moment.we got a total of 7 ribbons.
Sonny proved to everyone who he likes the best=me-will share that later but it made me feel wonderful right after he nipped me that is heheheheheh. So-i havent ridden in a month due to depression-He feels everything and reacts to it so I spared him my weakness. Went out last night and groomed him top to bottom and reminded him that I adore him-back in the saddle this evening. Thank you again for all your tips and all your help prior to my first show-i could not have don't it all all without your help.
