I have two horses now. I don't know how. I was just saying "When I sell Harm I'll get a nice, quiet horse for me with my savings, I'll just have a look online to see what's around" and then BAM! I have another horse and Harm and no savings.

I know a woman with 50. Of course she owns a lesson barn, but its pretty clear that over half of the were never intended as school horses, or any other sort of riding horse. She just likes to hoard :)

I'd love to have 2 (my primary horse and a project horse) but doubt I'll convince DH to let me until one day when we have a horse property... although I wouldn't put it beyond the realm of possibilities for me to get a 2nd horse and ask forgiveness afterward if the right one fell in my lap

I have two, and a foal on the way. I set the rule that I absolutely CAN NOT have more than 3...I'm going to the auction tomorrow, just for the tack. The trailer is hooked up, not much point in unhooking it....

I have 2 I board but we are buying a 40 acre farm w the option of 80. It's a lot of pasture and hay available....

I've been dying about all the horses at the broker lot that AC4H helps video and get the word out. Soon enough I can help and give "some" a forever home. Unfortunately there will always be horses in need and not enough homes.

I thought I'd only have one, a beautiful NSH then, BAM! I needed another so I could ride with my daughter. My one horse lasted less than four months. I was over the moon with one horse and it all happened again with my Paint gelding. My third horse came a year later as my husband decided he liked to ride. He borrowed a large Canadian mare that was at our boarding facility and next thing I new it I was buying her. That was 4 years ago and I thought that was it. But, this May I saw a beautiful appaloosa gelding and fell in love with him the day I went for the ride to bring him to our boarding facility. I think I'd have more if I owned my own facility for sure. It's true how infectious it can become!

2 Years ago we were down to 3 horses. Had been for a few years. Had a great little group. And I got permission to breed my mare. After 11 years finally got to. And then a tremendous deal fell into my lap. So...I ended up with 3 of my own, 5 total. $3000 later in hay this year, my mom could kill me. $6500 Addition to the barn because we only had 4 stalls and not enough hay space, my dad could kill me.

    *Muahahahahahahaha*

And, my dream is to own a grey gelding...my mom knows it. I also want to breed the mare I got last summer. And I'm constantly looking at horses online. *Sigh* Big dreams.
