Talking I couldn't help but giggle....

My gelding Solo is super smart, and always gets into mischief. He opens gates a lot. He used to escape but he would get in trouble, so then he started letting other horses out instead. I've also known him to stand on trotting poles and roll across them rather than go over them, and when we've had tyres out to go around he likes to put one foot in them. Oh and he can push the wheelbarrow, and untie himself, the list is endless

I'm a lucky girl in that I can keep my horses at home and see them from my kitchen window. there's a field which attaches to a small yard and 2 stables.

So this afternoon my boyfriend comes into the living room and says "is Solo supposed to be in the yard?" I say no, and being a sweetheart Dave just sighs and goes to put him out. He then comes back in, takes of his wellies and coat and comes to sit down. Then he says "I guess he was just trying to see Phoebe". I'm like "What??".
David looks confused for a second and says "Pheobe is supposed to be in the stable, right?" LOL. I'm like "NO!"

So we go out there and it seems that Solo has chased phoebe into her stable, Shut the door and pushed a wheelbarrow in front of it. Because of the closed door and wheelbarrow Dave assumed I had put her there and just left her there! Poor girl!

Needless to say we let her back out and gave her some hay, then tied a rope around the gate to stop Solo escaping again. Poor Dave was so confused when I said Phoebe should have been in the field. I wish I had a photo of his face!

There's a snapshot of life with a devious pony. Just thought I'd share...I couldn't help but laugh!

Too cute! It seems you should put your pony to work and teach him to do house and stable chores ;)

Haha! Oh I would love that. Unfortunately the little darling always knows when he's doing something annoying, and that's the way he likes it. I think if he realised he was doing something useful he would be totally bored! haha

That said, he has picked up my poop scoop by the handle and poked a poo with it once. If only he'd got it into the skip....
