I did it!

I cantered today! I was scared to death! My trainer said when ever I was ready I could try it, today, next week, it was my decision to make. So I went for it. The first time I asked him for it, I chickend out after the first few strides. Trotted another lap, then tried again. I grabbed the horn, but I kept going. Went around once, then let go of the horn. I was FLYING! I did 3 more laps & brought him in. I was shaking like a leaf, but I did it!!! My trainer was so proud of me. She said I was really getting into it & she loved the smile that was on my face.

It was the perfect day, until I got home & tried to tell my Hubby. He just said "that's nice" & walked off. Him I want to strangle, my lesson horse, I want to go see again tomorrow!

Cowgirl up!

Wow! Great job! :) Making progress on horseback is one of the most exciting feelings, in my opinion.

Congrats! Its always great when you accomplish new things in the saddle!

You are never better than anyone. Every rider has skills they need to improve. The only one you must compare yourself with, is you.

Don't mind your Hubs, he doesn't get it.

But OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! Way to kick fear's hiney!!!

I can't wait for you to canter again!!!!!

Congrats. I STILL feel that sense of accomplishment when I canter in the arena. Cantering is STILL the tiniest bit scary for me, so, when I do it and have a good time, it's thrilling.
