I feel like a little kid again!

I was able to borrow a saddle today and I cantered Bourbon for the first time since I adopted him! He was such a good boy despite my position being absolutely horrid. I can't wait till I find a saddle of my own so I can start taking lessons.

I couldn't get him to pick up the right lead (I expected that - he's an OTTB) but other than that he was wonderful! I even popped him over a teeny tiny crossrail a few times and he LOVED it!

That's great! Having a horse you can't ride can be a little frustrating.

Just remember to ensure whatever saddle you use fits your horse.

The one I used today looked like it fit him, but it left a dry spot under his withers. Unfortunately I've tried quite a few saddles and none of them have fit him. :(
