Smile I finally made it to the barn today

So today I finally made it out to the barn. I was last there on 2/22. Then we had a huge snow storm the next day. So I havent been there since.

I was happy to make it back today. It was a nice sunny day too. The only problem is that it is very muddy at the barn. From the lower barn and up...the path is muddy and slippery. Then the path up to kalypso's field was muddy. So it was interesting getting him out because its a hill so I had to walk him down the hill without falling.

Then the second path that leads to the upper barn...that wasn't plowed yet for some reason..so there is a narrow path on the snow. It is really narrow. Like one person narrow.. So kalypso was walking through the snow and I was on the path. I was hanging on to his blanket so I wouldn't fall in the snow. As we made it up to the barn I told kalypso to turn into the barn. That's what he did. At the end I gave him some treats for helping me through the snow.

I couldn't ride though. There was sooo much snow in the ring... it was being plowed by someone. But I do have a lesson tomorrow though. So that should be interesting.

From 2/22 to today3/6...my horse(who is all white)did stay clean. There were do mud spots on him. Not even his legs. His blanket was clean too. Hehe But I did notice that he broke a back leg strap clip on his blanket. So I have to replace it with a new strap. I am mad about that because it was a brand new blanket! So im wondering how he managed to break that clip.

    Thank you for reading this.

Glad you made it out there. What a great feeling eh. It's funny because despite you guys being literally the opposite from where we are, you guys seems to always have the same weather we have here. One of my best friends lives down in Pottstown, PA and the weather there is always the same as what we get here in Alberta.

Make sure you take some pictures for us next time you're out there.
