I got kicked :-(

So my friend and I were looking at a horse this weekend, and I got owned by his hind hoof. When we got to the dealer, the guy took him out of the stock trailer (had just bought him) so we could roundpen him. Kelly and I were looking at his teeth (well, trying). He spooked, spun around, and I couldn't get out of the way of his back end fast enough (I know enough that when an unfamiliar horse spins, you need to MOVE) and got kicked square in the back (at least it was the back and not the front) of the knee and it HURTS SOOOOOO BAD. I should know better!!!!! He was in a new place, had been on a trailer for who knows how long, and was being poked and prodded. Nevertheless, three days later, I still can't straighten my leg and man does it look ugly! I've been icing it and taking ibuprofen, but I am limping around and getting made fun of. On top of that, I got bit yesterday because I'm an idiot and forgot how to feed a piece of apple to Cirrus.

Stupid stupid stupid me. What a horrible horsey weekend...

Cirrus sounds like a spoiled brat! (just like my guys)

Ouchie on the knee... that really sucks. Has it made you timid a little? I think I would be timid, even around my guys that I totally trust... I get like though, after a fall, even if it's MY fault, I'm a little more careful for it seems like months afterward...

Sucks... and you arent dumb... things just happened. At least you were smart enough to try to get away. Some people freeze and that could have been bad.....

Awww, so sorry to hear about this. I hope you feel better soon. Keep us updated!

And don't let that naughty Cirrus bite you anymore.

Man, what a crap weekend!!! Glad to hear you're on the mend though.

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

*hugs* It was just a tough weekend. We all have those days, weeks, months where nothing seems to go right.
