Don't you just love it when everything goes right?
Today I rode on Dixie, a beautiful but stubborn and often very lazy horse (a good girl at heart though ) and she did AMAZINGLY! The other girl in my lesson was riding Pita and he wasn't bad either, Dixie was forward and when she slowed down gentle use of whip was enough to get her back up again! We went so far as to, on my FIRST ask for canter, she leaped straight into it and had to be convinced to stop, after a whole lap of the arena without any questions!
Afterwards we decided to do some low jumping, and Dixie didn't hesitate too much, cat-leap over it OR duck out once, she went straight for the middle and we made it over happily almost every time (except when she did this huge leap and I fell onto her neck.) All of this without rushing at it, trot, controlled canter, leap!
Wow, it just feels amazing and puts this huge smile on your face when it all comes together! I'm still grinning inside.
