I hate these kinda ads

paint horse!!!!!

This is a pet peeve of mine. I see these ads often about how people can't afford to buy a horse...so what makes everyone think you can afford one if you can't buy one,ya know?

sure, but on the other side if they CAN keep one but can't afford to buy, and they give a horse a home? Instead of it bein taken to auction/slaughter pen/ left to its own devices.

Two sides to the coin.

what Im worried about the most is the horse doesent have to be broke.. they want to start it.. ok maybe they have the experience, but then again if they had the experience they would know the purchase price is the cheapest part of horse ownership.. and if they can't afford to buy.. what about hay ( which isnt cheap) grain, meds, shots, etc.. plus I love that it has to be a paint, and less then 12 years old.. I'm sorry I don't think anyone would give you a horse like that for free unless it had lots of issues, or was sickly

Yea.

It just hard to trust. I sold a horse and I looked at the place where she would be living. She had other animals as well and seemed like the perfect home for her....she was not fed properly or anything. I found her back on CL and emailed the lady that had her and she informed me what happened as she was her neighbor.

I just don't trust people anymore and this ad bothered me even if it's innocent.

Well, it's a young kid, if that makes you feel any better. Honestly....I doubt the parents are aware of it.
