I looked at a new horse today and love him :) :)

10 years old.
Gelding.
Quarter horse/Arabian (I was told he is registered half Arabian).
14.3 hh.
Total sweetheart.
Hopefully I'll get to ride him Sunday.

Thanks. I'm a sucker for buckskins .

I'm going to drag my husband with me on Sunday to keep an eye on our four year old while I try him out, and to be an unbiased opinion .

His barn name is Rowdy. I don't know what his registered name is, the owners forgot to bring the paperwork with them to the barn today and I didn't think to ask .

I love buckskins! I also dearly love the little girl's boots in the 2nd picture. That's downright adorable!

Hah hah, I hadn't noticed. She always mangles them . The little girls are mine, they loved Rowdy too . The boots were Walmart specials on clearance for $8.00. I never got to have boots when I was a kid - too expensive for growing feet according to my Mom. I always rode in tennis shoes or canvas shoes. I actually bought my very first pair of real riding boots last month after we closed on the new house.

Thanks!

I e-mailed the owner and asked about his registered name and was sent the following:

"He is registered with The International Arabian Horse Association, Half Arabian Registry as Blues Rowdiness. Sire: Frosty's War Chief (AQHA), Dam: Kalahari Blue (AHR)"

I have no idea how horse registries work, so for those who do, does the above sound right? Also, is getting him registered in my name pretty straight forward? Or even worth it if all I want to do is trail ride?
