    I love my horse

I am amazed at how my boy is coming along after owning him for a little short of a year. At first I thought I had made a big mistake because he would routinely throw me off, kick me, bite me, and buck like a bronc. Now he is about as perfect as I could ask for. He still gets a little grumpy and pins his ears and threatens with his teeth, but nothing like the viscious creature he once was. He can be very sweet and he likes to lay his head on my shoulder and he loves having his lips and teeth massaged. I and my 15 year old daughter ride him and he never bucks anymore. Sometimes he even nickers when he sees me, when he used to pin his ears and back into a corner. I can rub his face between his eyes, but he used to not let me touch his head at all. It is so rewarding and I am glad that I didn't give up on him when I was convinced that he was going to kill me. I just wanted to share this because I love him sooooo much!

That is a lot progress in a short amount of time. How old is the horse?

He is 7 years old now and he was 6 when I bought him. I will try to attach a pic, but I am sooooo technologically challenged lol!

I think part of the problem was solved by boarding him at a barn that offers turnout in good weather and I also switched him from sweet feed to pellets. Oh, and I also don't beat the snot out of him and scream at him constantly lol.

I like to think that he is a much happier boy now! Thank you.
