I love my horse!!

This is probably just a really sappy thread... but I just wanted to say, I love my horse sooo much. She is such a trooper and the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Today I rode her bareback in the snow with the freezing wind ripping around us, and she faithfully plodded through the snow for me without complaint. I was giving her treats afterwards and she was so cute, nosing around in my hands for them. She's sooo gentle and I seriously trust her with my life! I love just burying my face in her warm neck and breathing in that horsey smell. When I left the barn today, I called her name as I walked towards my car and Jubilee just stood and looked at me as if telling me not to leave. She breaks my heart.

See... told you it'd be sappy. Do you ever have those moments? Its like true love ....

Lol. Ok, I'm a sap.

I feel the same way with T. Over the years she has become so much trusting and "softer" with me. Losing her sight in her right eye and her left is so so has really tested our bond together.

Her son Walka has so much of her character that I feel hopeful about our future together too. They'll be with me till the day they die, long time from now I hope.

So I guess I'm just a sappy horse person too!

oh girl, I am the same way! Then it feels like your being tugged on the heart strings for the rest of the day. That's how I feel at the moment....

Okay, a little sappy. But sappy doesn't mean bad. I am the exact same way. All my horses are 2 hours away at my dad's place. Every time I go up there and ride, it just keeps getting harder to come back home. Recently, with all the trouble I have had a work, I actually cry in the car on the way back and get really homesick. Even in the cold and wind and wet, I am constantly on a horse while I am up there. The last time I had a chance to go home was the 16th. I have not seen a horse since. So yes, I am sappy too. LOL

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
