So, I purchased my horse about 2 years ago. I love her to death, shes all I could ask for in a horse. but...here is my situation. Shes 16, and has been competing in jumpers all of her life.

I have her on a joint supplement but shes still showing just a bit of stiffness. She just had stitches a couple months ago on her back right and on her back left is an old injury. She is NOT lame, but do you believe I should still keep riding and showing her?

I compete in the 2"6 hunters at the moment, and I had a person come and look at Bella yesterday and offered me 1,000$ to buy her. I just don't know what to do. :( I love her so much but I don't know if I am the right home for her. Advice is VERY welcomed. Thanks!

If she is 16 and been jumping her entire career, stiffness is not unusual. If you want to keep her, maybe do less jumping. Try giving her a new career, like a low level Dressage horse if youre worried about hurting her and dont want to sell her. See if there are any flatwork exercises you can do to help with the stiffness (i dont jump, so i dont really know what or where the stiffness is. im assuming in her back end somewhere?). Luckily, all it is is stiffness, but it could be the onset of arthritis. What joint supplement is she on?
