I need something fun and horsey to do in my free time!

Alright so I am dead bored with myself. I ride twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday, and spend all day at the barn on Saturday too. Besides that I do NOTHING else. Up until this year I was also a pretty avid dancer but gave dancing up due to wanting to spend more time riding. Unfortunately we don't have the money for more lessons, leasing, or anything else. No we aren't poor, I just have 2 siblings in college. Anyway so I seriously need something to do, everyday I get home, finish homework about 4 and spend the rest of the day lazing around watching tv. So I've been looking for something, preferably horsey, to do with my free time. I'm 13 so my options are pretty limited but if anyone could think of anything I would be eternally grateful

Perhaps you can find someone who doesn't have the time to work their horse, and you can work it for them? Or do some work at a local riding school in exchange for lessons.

You can always take something else up, like painting, something you can do easily from home. Learn a language, photography, cooking, gardening. Build something.

Thanks for the suggestions! Today my friend and I had the idea to try and start a pony club at our barn. That would definetely give me something to do. If it doesn't work out I'll try one of your ideas for sure!!!!!!!

This suggestion might not be age appropriate, but you may be able to find a job at a barn. If you talk to the BO of the barn you ride at you may be able to get a discount for pitching in a hand around the farm. That would be a great extra bonus and would save some money for a college fund. Because you know that after 2 kids going to college mom and dad are dead broke and are pinching every penny in an attempt to at least send you to community college. (mostly joking)
