I rode her!!

YAY!

Well while all (hubby and bubs) were recuperating from Christmas, I trundled off to play with my girl Faith. Initially just lunging her as I hadn't worked her for a few days, I did however take my riding gear down to the arena with me just in case.

Faith was being a good girl if a little bit on the lazy side, my broody and her bubs were finishing off their breakfast, so wouldn't be bothering us (bubs like to help to lunge by standing in the middle with me :roll: ), so after 15 minutes of lunging on I hopped

She was brilliant! After the initial, "what are you doing up there mum?" she relaxed to my weight and I relaxed to being on a horse again (it's been over a year) and then off we trundled.

OK so it was mainly only walking with a little bit of trot but it felt sooooo good to be on board and Faith was such a good girl for an extremely green horse.

I can't wait to get on again :P

Actually she's a pain in the butt on the ground cause she's pretty handy at both ends , but as soon as you put a bridle on her she's a completely different horse and she has been an angel for me to ride.

I rode again today (trying to get as many rides in as possible while hubby is on holidays) and I'm slowly getting my 'feel' back so all is going well so far. I did shock my friends when I told them I'd ridden her she doesn't have the best reputation

I shall try to get photos at some stage and post them to show everyone.

I figured you couldn't wait Glad you are taking it slow. How about some pictures of the new baby too?
