I think I was scammed.....REALLY need the advice?

She sent the check she didn't ship a saddle

I'm not trying to be rude, but you guys are confusing.

I asked the OP, when is the seller shipping the saddle?

And she says "We're shipping it"

When you said 'deliver the saddle' it made it sound like she was coming to my place and dropping it off.

Then I said we WERE (i was including myself and the seller) not we are (as in myself)....

That makes no sense.

ANYWAY.... did you get any type of shipping confirmation/notification from the seller? A receipt? Did the seller let you know that the saddle is now in transit?

Id be calling her to talk about the deal you made with her and asking some questions. If it is a personal check or a money order you can cancel the payment. The only way you can't is if you send Cash in the mail. Talk to her and if you don't feel good about it, cancel your payment ASAP{

Yes. Phone her up. Your best bet of finding out the truth.

First, unless you got confirmation that the check arrived, don't presume that she has it. How did you send it? FedEx, UPS, USPS Overnight, or just via regular mail? If you sent it by one of the overnight carriers, you should have a tracking number.

Second, until she receives the money, the item isn't sold. If she hasn't yet received your check, she's well within her rights to advertise the saddle elsewhere.

Third, you should be calling her, not speculating uselessly about whether or not you got scammed. You really haven't given us enough information to figure out what's going on.

First of all, what kind of check is that? You said NOT personal. Was it a money order? Certified check?

3 days is still very short period of time. My HR sent me a letter on Wed, and I only got it on Sat. And we are in same state! Sometime it takes quite a bit of time to arrive. Also I wouldn't send a saddle till I get check in a mail and cash it. Because scammers are on both sides.

Personally I'd wait till Wed and then give the seller a call asking about check and all.

P.S. I DO understand you being nervous, because your money are involved, but I think you may have to be a little more patient.

Stop payment on the check and tell her you need to do paypal or are not buying. Unless you are willing to take the risk of her not sending it.
