I told him to slow down!! he shoulda listened..

After riding for about four months and doing very well.... husband bit the dirt (or rather woods) yesterday. It was a beautiful day, after walking a while, edging the fields,, I wanted to try to put my new SSH into a canter. Well he was on goose and goose LOVES to run, and is very smooth doing it so husband enjoys it as well... soooo we are going along and comming up on a trail that we usually take threw the woods to another field, well, Bill is wide open on goose and I knew goose was going to cut onto the path that is comming up quickly, as Bill passes me and JB I tell him to slow it down a bit and he says to me "awe let em run" that is the last thing he says before goose turns left and husband goes straight !!!!! Good news is after trotting around a few minutes, Goose lets us catch him without any trouble and husband has no stitches or broken bones, but is walking very slow with a swolen knee and a little more respect for the horse and my advice....I tried not to, but laughed every time he got up to move last night, I even got him a walking cane to help and all I got was a dirty look !!!! Not funny, but yea, its funny as long as the horse didn't get hurt !!!!!
Just wanted to share,,,, pic of me on Goose ,

Ah, your are so right... "I get to say I told you so" a couple times a week.....He slowed his butt down after he climbed outa the trees and briars and we caught goose.. If only he would listen.... but that'll never happen, so I got many years of laughing at him I guess......
