Ideas for 4-H demonstration??

Every year in 4-H we have to give a demo on anthing we want. Last year I did mine on photography.
This year I want to do it on something with horses, but I don't know exactly what.

I thought about doing Soundness and Blemishes of the horse, but that isn't completely interesting. I want something that will benefit me later in life and others when they are with horses.

Do you guys have any ideas on what I should do? I have no idea when it is because everybody has a bunch of stuff to do. The meeting today got cancelled because there would have been only two people coming.

So does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I don't want it to be too hard, but I would like it to be very interesting and stuff. When it comes to ideas, count me OUT because the best I would come up with is how to saddle a horse....but we can't bring horses in the building.
I got the soundness idea from my sister. She did a demo on that when she was 14 (a year younger than me) before we moved.

I can get the information for it, I am just not entirely sure that is what I want to do, but it does sound like a good idea if all else fails. haha! thanks everyone!

Some ideas:

Something to do with nutrition
Safety precautions when working with horses
Grooming
Vaccines and diseases
Trimming and shoeing

I did a project demonstration on Conformation. Researching greatly improved my judgement skills, and it helped my fellow members:)

How about photographing horses. We all know how hard it is to get the perfect shot. What about wild horses? You should have some bands somewhere close.

Oh, I like the photography idea.

One that might be helpful for all is saddle fitting.

Soundness and blemishes are still good topics. And the research you do will benefit you and other horse owners (who hear and see your presentation).

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Maybe you could have somebody video your presentation and share it with us?

It's okay if you decide not to, though. I would be scared mindless, LOL.

I think I might do either the conformation of the horse or soundness and blemishes.

I went to a bit demonstration once at a local state fair. This girl had diagrams and even brought some different types of bits to show how each one worked in a horses mouth. It was actually very interesting and educational! Just another thought....

One of the girls in my daughter's club did a presentation on horse colors/genetics. It was interesting and educational.
