I'm pretty sure he's thinking that! He spent the first 20 minutes trying to shake it off. Then Jack came over & tried to help pull it off. He'll get use to it. I'd rather have a mad donk than a foundered donk
That would have to be the most devastated look I've seen on a horse/donkeys face. Poor little guy! I think my 25yr old welshie would have stood at the gate and glared at me for 24 hours if I did that to her, no sad faces on that one!
We've gott good pasture grass already &his belly is getting a bit chubby as well as it feels like his neck is getting a bit thick. I've had so many friends with mini's that have founder, I didn't want to take the risk. Donkeys were not ment to live on thick grass like horses. They can survive with next to nothing like they would find in the desert
