    I'm So Proud of Myself!

SO my friend has a 4yo 17hh thoroughbred gelding who she lets me ride sometimes. Well, our friend wanted to try out her new saddle and rode him. She was letting him get away with a lot and wasn't really riding him properly, so my friend let me get on him so he wouldn't get away with anything. The first lap of trying to get him to trot nicely ended up with him bucking a few times and trying to take off. I did a one rein stop and turned him before it could get out of hand and I was so proud of myself! I know how to stop a horse from misbehaving, but most of the time I just blank when it happens. After a many many laps of trotting and doing really well, I cantered and he.. did the same thing.. He bucked a bit and I lost my stirrup and got thrown up on his neck but I still stayed on! Lol and I stopped him from doing it any more. I was so happy lol. We realized after two times of him doing that that something was wrong.. Turns out the saddle didn't fit properly!
