Interesting local news story

I sure wish I could have seen this guy in person. His horses looked happy and healthy to me - they have a job and look more than capable of doing it. I guess he just has a differnt lifestyle than the rest of us...

I saw him, or something that looked just like his rig, come thru Wichita Falls a while back! They were taking it easy, driving down the bar ditch, keeping well out of the way of traffic!

What is wrong with some people? Calling the cops because they feel he's neglecting his horses? Lol. Good llord. How absurd.

That's what I was thinking. The horses seemed to be in great shape. I doubt he makes much money doing what he does, so I don't blame him for asking for help along the way. I would prefer that he bought all his own feed so he could be sure to keep his horses on a relatively steady diet - donated feed would just be whatever the donor provided. But...all in all...

Somebody needs to call the editorial cops on your News Channel 4. Any journalist who can't tell the difference between "site" and "sight" needs to find a new occupation.

Don't get me started. Individuals now have some type of excuse for these errors when they are surrounded by professional idiocy! Professional news sources have NO excuse. Grammar and spelling are both going down the tubes in the United States.

I'm not a complete idiot--there are parts missing!

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.

If I am understanding correctly, a horse logger fells trees in areas that are inaccessible by regular vehicles, and not cost effective to access by helicoptor. According to the news story, he was heading to a job up near Yukon, OK. There is a lot of trashwood in that area, but also a lot of pecan and good hardwoods. I'm betting he's going to fell the good trees and the horses will pull them out to where they can be loaded by truck. It's hard work for the horses, but it looks like he has enough with him so that none of them work more than a couple of hours before being switched out.

Oh wow that's really neat! His horses are in better condition and health than most horses I've seen.
