Jake The Belgian will be here tomorrow!

Jake will be arriving around noon tomorrow! I am going crazy waiting for him, I don't think I'll be able to sleep a wink tonight! I really hope I can help him out and give him a good home!

For those of you who didn't see my other thread, Jake is a 12 year old Belgian Draft horse. He was an amish work horse and was starved and abused. He is quite underweight, He has scars and rub marks all over from the driving harness, and you can just see the pain and sadness in his eyes.

We paid a mere $300 for him to keep him from being sent to the New Holland auction in PA which is really nothing more then a slaughter auction.

Here are pictures I took last week when I went to look at him and put a down payment on him.

Oh, I can't wait for him to get to his good home. He is gonna be so much happier. I am really looking forward to following his progress under your care.

Other than being grossly skinny, his basic bone structure looks really nice (providing he doesn't always stand under himself like that in the front). If I could, I would send you some of my Bessie's weight just to make him feel and look better. {:,,) I am so happy you got him.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

He looks so sad.
