The joke was on me...

Okay so the other day at work I found myself... trapped?

It was the end of the day (around 5pm) and I was doing the last checks for hay and water for all the horses. One of the horses needed a water top up so I entered the stable to get the buckets. The kick bolt shut down and locked me in the stable... There was no one around, I had to climb over the stable door! Not a pretty sight

I carried on checking and a pony needed her water topping up. Well what do ya know, the kick bolt shut me in again! I had to climb out, again. Not a pretty sight, again!

The horses were looking at me like, what the hell??

Just thought I would share, maybe give a laugh or two!

That is funny
Good thing you had a way to crawl over but if you hadn't you still would have had fresh water & a bed until rescued (how long would that have been?)

Haha that is a good way of looking at it! Well, the girl at work with me should have come looking for me, but then again maybe not? So I could be there until 8am the next morning! Ha

Climbing is good exercise, so not a total bad thing!

Too funny!
Good thing you sound athletic. If I were in your shoes I would've called it quits and bunked down for the night.

Haha I wasn't prepared to do that! And believe me, it wasn't a pretty sight!

We had a new horse arrive at our barn via trailer. The horse dealer, whom we all knew, locked himself in his trailer and couldn't get out. Young kid, maybe 30. He was totally red faced after begging to be let out!
