Just bred my mare!

I just wanted to share that I bred my AQHA mare, Dixie, to my App stallion over this weekend. I'll have her covered another time and hopefully she will take! Now Im anxious to find out if she will be in foal or not. I'll schedule my vet check (ultrasound) for 18 days after the last day I have her covered.

This is their first foal too.

Me and my family have bred out horses for the last 6/7 years, and our mare always catches so I don't think you should be to worried, 1 thing though how many times did you covered her? Like I mean for this first pregnacy?

She has been covered a few times already and will be covered a few times more before her heat ends. She should be "out" on Wednesday.

I hope she takes, and I hope Zippy (my stallion) gives the foal lots of spots. Lol

In March, Zippy will be bred to Shawnee my black App mare. I also have someone interested in breeding their bay App mare in March too I believe. So Zippy should have 3 foals on the ground next year.
