Is it just me...

Or are barns super creepy at night? My barn is perfectly safe, but I'm convinced there's someone in a hockey mask waiting for me when I go there at night.=P It doesn't help that I'm the only boarder. Does anyone else hate going to their barn when it's dark?

In my barn it's that really scary thing from jeepers creepers that is lurking up in the rafters....

My barn is pretty old and 2 stories. I'm fine with it at night but then, I don't always know better.

You are so right! Ours is in the middle of the fields, far from "safety" lol.

Our nerves started one night when we camped over at the stables, and we were waiting for the horses to finish eating so that we could kick them out for the night. It was pitch black (it gets dark at about 5 in winter), and we were waiting for the last horse, when suddenly my one friend pipes up "I feel exposed". Then we suddenly felt like someone was watching us, so we went and hid with the horse. Lol

I always feel the same way. My barn is always pitch black at night and I can't see until I turn on the lights but, i'm always posotive nothing would happen

I don't find the barn creepy at night at all. Very relaxing. Listening to the horses and cows munch away.

Barn is OK, but SHED is scary!

One time I went back in the middle of the night to let me horse out of her stall. The BO had some goats locked in one stall. There are only a few shafts of moonlight coming from the sky lights. So it was dark and eerie. The goats were running around and making terrible noises... I reminded me of that scene from Carrie when they kill the pigs.

You probably have lights huh?
