DD's first show of fair was supposed to be Sunday afternoon. We got a text this evening that due to the heat they are delaying this show (English) until Tuesday afternoon (after Western classes that were already scheduled that morning). We can still move the horses in to the barn on Sunday, have to be there by Monday at noon -- Aero is DD's horse for English classes and the one most likely to be upset by the hub-bub of fair (last year DD ended up scratching most of her classes due to her reaction to it all). We're going to go ahead and get the girls settled in early on Sunday and give DD and Aero all day Sunday and Monday for the adjustment period (by the end of last year's fair Aero was not even phased by it all and had been out in the arena several times a day without batting an eye) plus get two extra days of practice time in the arena since we can ride early and late and avoid the heat but still have the benefit of the arena......
