That is a lot of money and I hope you are able to keep your horse for his entire lifetime. If it works out for you then it is money well spent. :)

I always tell people looking into buying a "bargain horse", a free one, or a limited budget to save up to buy the horse they really want because it IS the cheapest part! Of course there are deals to be had... But most of us realize this with upkeep in mind, someone newer to horses often are glazed over by the inexpensive initial purchase.

That's why I just pay the bills every month. I don't ask questions and I sure don't look back at how much I spent on one horse.. Lol.
