I love fleabitten gray! Isn't it funny how it's all so subjective.

So, I mixed it all up. It's his half-brother - same sire - and they really are a month apart. Man, I swear I'm not crazy.

It's very subjective, tinliny. Really proves the whole "One man's trash is another man's treasure" idea.

Gotta see the positive side....I just read that the majority of Arabians born now are non-grays....pretty soon gray Arabians will be rare ....

I feel your pain. I love greys, but didn't buy my horse for his color. He's been really lightening up which is pleasing to me, and I had hoped that he would go white like his sire, but he's getting flea bitten.

AlexS, his sure has beautiful coloring! Mine has that crazy, ethnic-looking, poofy hair.

Yep. I adore chestnuts with chrome. A lot of people don't like chestnuts because they're so common, but they've always been my favorite.

I'll gripe along. Here is what I wake up to most days...

Not only is he fleabitten, he loves water, and mud, and dirt, and whatever else will stain and cause me hours of grief. I've given up. Yes, that is the "dirty horse", look over here at the shiny one, please!!

Fly, are you sure you didn't take a picture of Casper by mistake? I swear, he LOOKS for nasty things in which to roll. Muddy water mixed with manure is his favorite.

I'm not a huge fan of grays, and even less so flea bitten grays, but if that's the only thing I can find fault with with my girl I'll take it!

I'll be interested to see what color my colt turns out to be. As a five-year old, he still has a gorgeous steely coat. His dam is my mare's half sister, who's also flea-bitten. His full brother is still dark and dappled at age 7, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for long-lasting dapples!
