Sorry, Country Woman, but I'll have another is a Kentucky bred horse by Flower Alley out of an Archy mare named Arch's Gal Edith (I'm not sure of her exact name) But the mare lives in Versailles, Ky and Flower Alley stands at Three Chimneys. The man who actually owns the mare and initiated the breeding lives in New Jersey. I'll have Another was bought last year at an Ocala, Fl. Sale for $35,000 and his owner runs him in Southern California.

Some of the confusion might be because the jockey (who is Mexican) was riding in British Columbia prior to picking up this horse. He rode at Louisville exactly twice: once in the am, and once at the Derby!!! WOW I'd say his career is going to be exploding. He gave that horse an absolutely perfect ride!

The two top finishers were the only two in the field neither me or my mother had bet on. I bet on Dullahan to win. I almost did win/place/show but was feeling confident.

Yep, we officially suck at betting.

I'll Have Another is owned by J Paul Reddam from Windsor Ontario. While Reddam is an Ontario native, he owns a large financial company in California. I believe the horse was bred in the US. So, Canadian owner of a US bred horse, ridden by a jockey from Mexico, who trained in Vancouver.

Regardless of who is from where, what an exciting race!

You're right, Koolio. I paid absolutely no attention to where the owner lived. Horse racing has really become international.
