LDV Horsebox owners!

We bought an LDV Convoy 400 Horsebox last year and have been refurbing it. Its starting to come together nicely and look awesome but I have a big worry with it! It rocks LIKE MAD!! It had brand new shock absorbers all round for the MOT so there are no issues with the suspension (we are mechanical minded so everything has been checked).

We are thinking of adding an extra leaf spring all round the suspension as the LDV only has 1 in each corner whereas the Ford Transits have 3 on the rear making them more stable. Trouble is I don't want to spend MORE money on it if its not going to make a difference! It carries 2 facing forward with a side ramp, I would only be able to take one of my horses at any time as they are both 16.1hh so it would be overweight with both of them but have the worry of it sitting on the **ss with only one horse on the drivers side??

I really am in two minds whether or not to sell it on once its finished and get a trailer and 4x4, take my test and be done with it. It would be such a shame tho as we have spent ALOT on the lorry now

Does anyone else on here have an LDV? How do you find it for stability and what is it like to drive once loaded. What height horses are you travelling in it??

Thanks
