let me just say...

how great are horses! if i just stop and think for a minute we are such lucky people. a wonderful high spirited animal lets us ride them, own them, love them, be friends with them...how great! i love the quote "when riding a horse we borrow freedom" its so true. i was just recalling when i first started getting seriously interested in horses. i was walking through home depot with my dad and i was like "can i get a horse?" dad says "dont get your hopes up." im like "mom said maybe so maybe can we?" no response...lol. first i thought it was the best thing to see a horse, be around horses, then i got to lesson on horses, then lease a horse. then when i thought it couldnt get any better I GOT A HORSE! i dont know what i would do without my boy! i love him more than anything! *contented sigh* so so lucky

Blessed :)

We truly, truly are. Even when your horse is being a brat, it still is nice, lol. Sunny decided to run sideways today. Was invigorating I'll admit.

Most people are like Slinkies; they serve no real purpose, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on for dear life.

I've always felt it was an honor for a horse to trust you. I've tried not to ever do anything to abuse that privilege. My horses know what is expected and know that I will be consistent and fair in my behavior also.

I also feel very blessed to have horses in my life, it for me, was a girlhood dream come true, only better than any dream ever!

You know, I here people saying how they had a great weekend riding motor-bikes or going swimming, but horses are just so much better.
They aren't predictable, but when you have a bond with a horse it just is the most amazing thing. And people can say they're just animals, but to some people, they are more.
All the time and money and effort you put in, does really pay off.
