I used to work at an equestrian centre and most days were full of riding but the longest day would have been about 9 hours for me I was verrry glad I had the next day off :)

Longest time in the saddle without getting off 4 hours/11miles on hard trails. Most hours with breaks around 6-8 is pretty common.

In the sumnmer when I am ridng on the trails with our guests we do a few long trails.

It is not uncommon to do about 5 hours but sometimes 6-7.

I love it though.

8 hours on my horse.
But I used to work at a trail riding stable.
So we would be on the horses from about 10am til midnight.
Talk about a sore butt.

The longest ride i've done is 85km(endurance ride). But we only ride about 40 to 45km at once.
The longest time i've stayed in the saddle is about 5-6hrs doing cattle mustering.

The longest I ever rode was about 4 hours. It was a fun ride too. I ride for fun on the trails and such, and that day we went along the side of a road heading down dirt road until we got a park where were rode in the trails. It was beautiful.
