I looked at a TB gelding today with awful legs. The owner kept saying, "He's got the best legs of any TB I've ever seen!" As I'm faking a smile saying, "Yeah, they're great!" I was actually thinking, "He'd be lame after a week of work with those pasterns." He almost looked like he had bowed tendons. I didn't even bother riding him.
I can't stop thinking about Ice... I'm so tempted to just call the vet and schedule a vet check, but I feel like I really should give the other horses a shot and at least meet them.
I have an appointment scheduled tomorrow and Friday to look at two horses, and we might go check out a few rescues next week, but I think Ice is going to be the one as long as he passes a vet check.
