    I live in your area! I personally found Horsetopia had a large selection ( I found my horse there). You could try that out =)

    We've looked on every possible website, but most of the horses we find are either show horses who've never done anything else, or trail nags. That's why I've started looking into breeding barns because most of thier horses are more well rounded.

    Not sure of your price range, but Bear Valley Rescue has quite a few horses available, some are broke, some not. And their usually around $500
    Its 3 hrs south of Edmonton, and I'm sure you could find someone to help with hauling etc.

    Just checking back here, have you found what your looking for yet? If not can I have some details as to what you want. Me and my mom want to get rid of a horse, she says do it in summer after a few shows but I jsut want him gone now.
