Looking at buying this mare, also any color guesses?

I've been idly looking for another horse, and my friend tells me she's selling her horses. So I'm looking at her mare Shiloh.

She's a 4 year old (soon to be 5) registered Quarter horse. I remember talking to her while she was breaking her (as a 3 year old) and remember her talking about how easy she was to train.

She walks/trots/lopes, picks up leads, backs, neck reins and works off your seat and legs. Her ground manners are good, but she could use work with trailering. She's a sweetheart, and she's about 16.2 hands. She's been rode off and on but she still rides pretty consistently. They are asking $500, so what do you guys think?

As for her color, I'm GUESSING she's an amber champagne. But I don't have any eye color pictures so I'm not sure, would you guys agree?

My plans for her are barrels and poles. I'm also waiting on conformation pictures and a picture of her papers that I'll post on here.

Let me know what you guys think!

(I'll post pictures in the next post)

Sorry I just got completely side tracked by the horse head mask in the first picture....oooh the memories.

Color wise...can't help. I'm definitely NoT one of the color gurus but she does look very cute. Post the Congo pics when you get them if you can ;)

*Insert something witty*

There's no way that mare is 16.2 hh, unless the fellow in the horse mask is a giant. She's cute, but there's really nothing to go off of in these pictures. Wait for conformation shots and you'll get more detailed opinions, until then if she does everything you say she does she could be a good deal.

I don't think she's that tall either, but she should be at least 15. (that picture was also a year and a half ago, maybe she's grown.) And he is about 6'3" or so. Either way, I'm not too worried about height.

And I know it's a hilarious picture.

I know they aren't, that's why I didn't put it in the conformation critique section :P lol.. I'm mainly concerned with her color and how her training sounds for the price. I do plan to get a conformation critique once I get pictures :)
