Do you know which sales complex he was sold at? If it is a proper TB sale they will have a record of the lots which are sold and surely there weren't THAT many TB stallions at the sale at the same time of that age.

It was a Horse Club fundraising sale in a little town in Kansas. Nice idea tho..... My nephew is part of the Horse Club and was helping with the sale. He has no idea who brought the horse in for sale tho. When he came into the sale arena, they actually had to check and make sure he WAS a stallion like it said on the ticket cause no one believed it by the way he was acting.

I just can't help thinking that he MUST have been pretty good at something or he wouldn't have been left a stallion. I know, I know.....people do stupid things like leave stallions intact cause it's "fun" to have a stallion. But still.....

Ummmm...I'm also kinda questioning the TB part of things. Could he be a racing QH? Could the 2 we see at the end of his tattoo actually be a Z? The tattoo is on his upper lip if that makes any difference. I heard that QH tattoos were on the bottom lip not top, but don't remember where that came from

We have an update on Cyclone. Not much help in finding him, but an update none-the-less. Nephew who helped with the sale says he believes that Cy is QH...not appendix, but straight QH. He knows of the guy that brought cy to the sale. This guy is a trader and there was a sticky spot on cy's tail (indicative of an auction). Nephew thinks Cy may have come out of Oklahoma.

You can still call AQHA. Based on what you can guess about his number you might come up with some viable options.

If he knows of the guy, is there a possibility he would be able to find some connections?

Have you tried the black light yet? He does look more of a QH to me than anything.

There's an Arabian racing association, too, any possibility he's an arab? His hind end doesn't look very q/h to me in the pic that shows it..

Absolutely NOT. LOL I didn't think he looked very QH either, but nephew says when he was FAT at the sale, he looked very QH.

Copperhead, nephew says he tried getting the guy to tell him where he got him and he wouldn't say. He knows the guy is a "trader" and thinks he got fooled into buying a stud. Since traders don't like to buy stallions, he thinks the guy was just a little embarrassed and mad about having got one. At least that's what we hope his reasoning was. I'll have nephew see if he can get the guy to tell him anything, but he didn't think the guy would. On the other hand, I know it's probably useless to look up his brand here in Kansas.

Oh, haven't tried the black light yet. His chiro appt got changed to this friday so will try it then when we can put him in stocks to look in his mouth.
