OMG I am so sorry, just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I do so understand what you are feeling, I lost my heart horse, my pretty little chestnut Arabian mare, due to a broken hip. The suddenness and shock of it all will cause a pain like no other. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a young age to lose one.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

Gosh, that's awful. I'm so sorry. I haven't been through this yet and I can't imagine.

He sure was a handsome devil, wasn't he?

After reading that I went and gave my boys a big hug, and a stern lecture. How terrible, I'm so so so sorry for your loss! We will all be riding our lost loves again one day, huge hugs!!!

You can get a lot further with a ladder than you can with crutches!!
What do you mean what do I mean?

He was indeed beautiful. I can't imagine how hard that must have been, it is just heart breaking. I am very sorry for your loss. I believe what Fly put so beautifully - we will all be riding our lost loves, again.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

What a handsome boy he was, you must be so heartbroken, I am so sad and so sorry for your loss. Losing a precious animal friend is tough, it's been over four years now since I lost my heart and soul, the Arabian mare pictured in my avatar. But then I try to think about how blessed I was to have her in my life. And you as well with your beautiful boy, they brightened our lives.

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful, beautiful boy.

I've never lost a horse, but a beautiful mare was lost at my barn a few years ago. She was severly injured after somehow getting herself caught up in the smooth wire fencing...mortally wounded...they tried everything to save her. Happened at night. Her pasture mates all gathered around her with heads down...barn manager found them this way in the morning. After she was gone, my Journey and some of the other mares would just stand where she laid for hours. This went on for several days. Horses do have hearts and mourn for their friends. Had a profound effect on me to watch the reaction of these loving creatures.

Then they just turn to us and give us everything they have. Horses are amazing.

~~~Why walk when you can fly?~~~
