Thank you all for support :) I'd just like to clarify- I do agree with having a bond with a horse, loving on them and all that, didn't mean to say that's not possible.
I also have nothing against grades in the slightest. A good horse is a good horse, and a "bad" horse is a "bad" horse, regardless of papers :)
Again, thank you all :)

Preach it, sistah!

That is what infuriates me about hoarders (and bad owners in general). They spew all day long about how much they love their animals when every animal on the property is sick and emaciated and living in filth. THAT IS NOT LOVE.

It's real easy to say you love something. It's another thing entirely to actually show it and do something about it. Words are nothing. Love = plenty of food, water, shelter, vet and farrier care. Ignorance does not excuse you. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and I don't care if you starved your horse on purpose or not. The animal didn't suffer any less just because you "didn't mean to".

This is how I look at it, what the horse feels for you may not be love, but absolute trust that you will see to what they need. If you can't then you've broken that trust and don't need to be part of the equation.
