Talking This made me smile and gave me that warm fuzzy happy tingle

Two weekends ago my friend and I drove down to Vancouver Washington to pick up my new trailer. On the drive down we were talking about how similar we were when we were kids, granted she's 45 and I'm 22 but we still have a lot in common. One of things we brought up was when we were both little girls whenever we were on the road and saw a truck hauling a horse trailer we would watch that trailer until it was out of site knowing one day we would be hauling our very own trailer with our very own horse in it. Now, driving back with the trailer Mindi said she felt wonderful knowing she could give that inspiration to any little girl in the passing cars.

Well this weekend I saw that little girl. It was my first time hauling my trailer. My trainer and I went to a local schooling show with Caleigh and her TB. We took her big Ford F350 hauling truck and my trailer. On the way home we were caught in a little bit of sluggish traffic, not too bad but enough to drop you from 60mph on the freeway to 40 and then near a merging ramp down to 15. While we were at 15mph I glanced over and saw a little girl maybe 10 or so, nose pressed to the window pointing at the trailer. She had that classic "Oh my gosh HORSES!!!" look on her face. I smile and waved and she smiled and waved back!

It made me warm and fuzzy inside.

Here's what she saw. It still makes me smile!

I love it when you see that. We get that a lot too.

Another one of my fave things to do is when I'm on an outride and we pass little children and parents and they are like "mommy look at the pony!". It makes me smile, and since I trust my horses, I let them come up and pet whichever one I'm on. I love their looks of wonder and joy when they touch the horse, it makes me feel exactly how you did :)

I hear ya! But I'm still that little girl waiting for my trailer! Even though I'm 39. But even riding my horse on the road and people pass makes me feel great. My dream of having my own horses one day has come true. I don't think I will ever stop that dream.

LMAO me too!

I'm still waiting on my trailer too but it's my goal in the next six months to have a decent truck and a better than decent trailer.

It's a great feeling. I haven't had that feeling in a while. I love letting little kids pet my horses as well but I haven't been out to trail rides recently. I hope to as soon as the weather shapes up.
