    Do you thinks it's better to own 2 mares ...... or a mare and a gelding??....I KNOW it depends on the animals....but, just a generalization (if there's any such thing...which, again, I know probably not) ...

    Well, we have all (four) mares and the biggest thing is that mares are very serious about the pecking order. In my experience many stables pasture mares and geldings separately.
