Meet *Selen* - the fabulous cremello TB stallion and star of a new book series!

I am beyond thrilled that Guaranteed Gold has been selected to represent "Selen" in a new series of books authored by Brittia Gueric, aimed at the 7-12 year old crowd

There were some amazing and beautiful stallions entered into the competition to find "Selen" - some I had never heard of before and many that really bear watching in the coming years as they enter the show ring and the competition arena for the first time.

It will initially be released in Europe, in French, but Brittia will also look at launching it in North America in both French and English as well

A BIG "Thank You" to ACC Photography - Audrey Crosby McLellan! She has taken some amazing pictures of Guaranteed Gold on her visits to our farm and it was in these pictures that Brittia fell in love with GG and felt he would be the perfect "Selen" for her books. Depending on Audrey's schedule (and arm!) we hope to get her back out sometime this year to get some updated pictures that could be used in future editions in the series

SO pleased to receive this news! It is going to be a fun journey for sure!

I googled both for Selen to find the contest and Brittia Gueric to find the author, and found nothing other than your posts. Can you point me in the right direction?

I, too, would love to see the contest. Any idea how many people entered?

I have no idea how many horses were initially entered before it came down to the 10 finalists

Brittia will have a bio on her website which should be launched in the next few days, which is:

SELEN l'étalon blanc | roman jeunesse

Audrey Crosby McLellan (ACC Photography) and I will also have bio's and credits there and in the books as well

Brittia will also put a blurb on there about the story line of Marie who finds the wild stallion and their road to fame and glory over several editions

Really neat - we are all thrilled to be a part of it!

Congrats! I looked at your website and I must say how gorgeous the colts are from your breeding program. I have a warm spot for sporthorses of color <3

The hand? Oh that's just my spouse Mr.Dim feeding way too many carrots...oh you mean Beau my appy Thanks, he is a sweet boy. I should post up some better pictures I have of him on my barn page.

In my youth I really wanted to find and compete with a sporthorse of color. But back then they were much harder to find than today and there was quite a bit of "color bias" in the HJ circle. Does my heart good to see there becoming more mainstream. I looked at an Art Deco colt years ago but he was beyond my budget at the time.

Thanks, there are a couple on my horses tab on my avatar. I need to get some better ones though, as the summer has progressed his coat has gotten roany-er...if that is a word :)
