Thumbs up Memorial Day 2009 Riding Trace Trails near Athens, Texas

If you haven't ridden Trace Trails near Athens, Texas, it's time to plan the trip.

We rode there all day on Memorial Day 2009 and it was a glorious place to experience - especially from the back of KA Golden Bubbles, The Greatest Horse in the World!

My friend Ginger frequently rides there with her longtime friend, Bonnie. They have been trying to get me to accompany them for a couple of years now. The experience yesterday will have me going back as often as I can fit it in my schedule. What a beautiful place! It has horse trails meandering over 1200 beautiful acres. The trails vary from 8 miles long to 15 miles long and can be mixed 'n matched anyway the riders like. It is hilly, shady, picturesque and a photographer's dream. There are dogwood trees, wildflowers and fauna galore.

The trailriders are Ginger, riding Santanna, an Araloosa gelding, Carrie riding Bubbles, an AFR Arabian mare, and Bonnie, riding Dakota, a paint gelding. Ain't we got fun?!!
