    Thanks guys :)

Im happy with him but its nice to hear people say what I think, that way I know i'm not just biased lol.
I still want more weight on him but mainly needs the muscle now. When I first got him I traced his previous trainer to get the run down on him and she said he never carries a top line and his spine is always prominent off his back "what the". I was a bit flabagarsted at that, no wonder he never made it at the race track he was obvisouly not feed properly or worked in anyway "correctly"
Soon as i've got him with some topline I'm going to email her some pics.

Jore - good luck with OTTB

Cacowgirl - he is a lovely boy to ride, typical OTT as he's not got much balance in the arena but he is getting there. His like a distracted kid thou, trying to get him to concentrate is hard work, he think everything else is more interested to look at lol. Fell off him last week (not his fault). I have had him do huge shy's and occassional buck thrown in and the other day he did the smallest of shy's and I was on my butt, with me going "how did I get down here" and monte looking at me going "what are you doing down there" lol, soft landing and we continued on for an awesome workout, think he felt a bit guilty!!!!

And here is Monte now 5 months on. He is now in the condition I like my horse in And we are having so much fun, he is the most awesome boy. From arena work, to opening gates and chasing cattle to trail riding. He gives me enough cheek to keep me on my toes lol but never come back from a ride saying that was not enjoyable . I might come back and say "way too much grass, everything had teeth today" lol but he is always fun to ride!!
The first pic is the other day, had his rugs off for a couple of weeks and his coat has really lightened up!! But going away for couple of weeks and don't want to have to worry about asking people to change rugs!!

Yay! He's looking a lot better! I wonder if his old trainer was thinking about his withers and not his whole topline? All the TBs I've met have had withers like shark-fins, but they can still pick up some nice stuff on the topline like your boy seems to have done. I'd like to see him again in a year, see what you've done with him by then!

Hasn't taken him long to come along, need to look back at posts to see exactly how long but its close to 3 months I think.

Such a lovely boy to do anything with, can't believe my luck in finding this boy We are off for a fund raising trail ride on october 19th and then off to a horse clinic with Carlos Tabenberri in December, can't wait for both!!!
Wow what an amazing difference looks like a different horse
    Good luck with him
