Talking Moved my mare today... So nervous. =/

Well, today was the big day. I'll add some pictures tomorrow when I go back out. I completely forgot to take any today! I moved my mare from backyard board at my boyfriend's house to an actual stable. I was so nervous. Haha. She loaded like a dream and came off the trailer injury-free. It was only a half hour drive, but she isn't the most graceful traveler so...

As soon as we walked into the barn she wanted to go check out everything! The stalls, the horses, even the crossties were fascinating (she's never been in a barn before). So I put her in the crossties and pulled off her sheet and tailwrap and I groomed her for awhile. There were some super nice people getting their boy ready for the show this afternoon. They were hilarious! And everyone loves Ti. She's a big hit.

Then I tacked her up and took her to the indoor and just lunged her a bit to get her used to the place. And then I groomed her somemore and put on her fly mask and fly sheet and turned her out to go visit her new buddies. She's been there for about an hour now and she already has new boyfriend and they're attached at the hip! A cute little chestnut gelding, he is.

Anyways.. I didn't want to leave her. I've always had her right out the back window and now I'm leaving her with people I don't even know. Not that I don't trust them. They're amazing people! I'm just so nervous. I feel like now that I left her, she's going to break her neck or something. She's happy though so...

    Blehh.

What a big day for both of you. I am glad to hear that she seems to be settling right in.
