Today my boyfriend and I went to the barn to see Jubilee. This is his second time seeing her, and he just loves her. He loves horses already (which I am VERY VERY happy about!).

Jubilee is so friendly and gentle with him. He takes long grass out of the ground for her, helps me brush her, he even volunteered to go catch her in the field today! He's really good with the horses too. Not shy or nervous around them. He handles them well, and he's not even experienced with them! I'm so excited. Today I showed him the grand art of lunging, and I think he liked watching Jubilee run around, haha. Afterwards, I casually asked him if he wanted to hop on her, and surprisingly he said ok. So he got on bareback and I led him around at a walk, lol. Unfortunately, being a tb, Jubilee's reeeally uncomfortable bareback, and for a guy I'm sure it was worse, haha. But he took it in stride (ignore the pun

). But yeah, it was really fun and exciting. He didn't just sit back and let me do the work, he actually took iniative and watched what I was doing, trying to learn.

Oh and also, in the summer I don't get to see him very much because we live an hour and half away from each other and we both work, but anyway, he came up this weekend and we spent the weekend together. This afternoon I asked him what he wanted to do, and he said, "I actually want to go see Jubilee." :P I didn't beg and plead for him to take me out to see my horsie, he volunteered to come!! I'm so happy that he loves her so much. Yay!! Just thought I'd share.
