Smile My Friend Earl!

Earl.jpg

This is my friend Earl on his appy Danny Boy. Earl is in his mid eighties and Danny Boy is around 25! They are both an inspiration to me. Earl is riddled with arthritis and many other issues (shoulders are shot for starters), yet he prefers to sit his horse and ride instead of sit in a rocker and pop pills and focus on his pains. Needless to say , during a 5 or 6 hour trail ride and my butt is aching, I refuse to complain because I can only image what's aching on Earl!

Hope all of you have someone like Earl in your life. I'm blessed to have him in mine.

That is awesome! I know someone like Earl but her name is Sally : ) She is in her 70s and still riding .I hope I am still able to ride when I reach that age. She is the sweetest person!

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.
