My Girls Have a Home

As most of you know, I'm getting a divorce. Filed papers today. A little sad but getting better every day. My girls are at my in laws and she does Not want them there anymore. So a real good friend is taking them in and I'm Giving my best friend to her daughter.

I don't feel I am making a mistake. I actually feel at peace knowing she will be loved for the rest of her days. She's older and all I ever want for her is a loving home. Her daughter is very attentive with her animals and only wants a horse to love on. My filly Misty is also going to stay there and when I am ready I will be back for her.

She will be so big. She's getting more and more beautiful by the day. I am going to be working with a woman who barrel races at top shows. I'm very excited to start a new chapter in my life and pursue a dream. Doing more than just backyard riding. Learning so much more.

Anyway, I'm feeling so much better about my path I'm on and can only hope to grow from my experiences.

I'm so happy for you and I'm sure both the girl and your old friend appreciate you giving them each someone to love on. Sounds like things are looking up for you now, just keep that chin up and keep on truckin'.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Girls loaded like a dream tonight. Hauled em over to their new home and not exactly happy with the fencing but made my own provisions and suggestions. They are settling in but my poor older Mare is calling for her buddies. That hurts. She isn't a dominant mare and has always relied on that dominant mare for safety. But I know she will be fine. They will be just fine.

Double post. Leaving Thursday to go to Ohio and live. Will be so nervous and scared but I still feel confident in all my decisions. So who here lives in Ohio?

Oh wow... when I read your first post, I thought you meant your daughters! Heart attack time! Re-read that and think of humans instead of horses! Very confusing when you are giving your best friend to her daughter -- thinking humans here again. I'm such a dolt!

It just goes to show how much these animals mean to you -- how much you care. They will be fine. You have taken time to choose safe, loving futures for them. It's okay.

Good luck in Ohio! We'll be watching for your change of address in your profile!
