I know this is down the road but doesnt hurt to start thinking about it now.
I am currently in University for a bachelor of arts degree with a major in history....all i'm going to say is be prepared for lots and lots of reading and tons of papers! I'm having a hard time juggling work, riding, and school. Your plan makes complete sense to own a horse after you are financially stable.
