My horse is better dressed than I am ^.^

It's a sad fact that I spent more money in one night buying clothes for my horse than I probably spent all last year buying my own clothes (excluding new show clothes and other horse related clothing ). Of course, when I shop for myself I'm super savvy, clearance racks, consignment stores and even Goodwill are all places I'm apt to look for myself, but big guy got new duds straight from the catalog yesterday. best part was this purchase was funded by the sale of his old blanket, which I actually made money off of!

Conner got himself a new StormShield Vtek Marathon turnout with a belly band to keep him nice and toasty. I have been bouncing back and forth on what to buy since his old blanket sold- I really, really wanted another Rambo Wug, but couldn't find one second hand in my budget, and a new one was completely out of reach. Smartpak released a "10 year guarantee" blanket this year that was awesome, very affordable and hello- 10 years no worries! But that blanket is on back order until March or something, not feasible for me. Then I took a look through Schneider's catalog, and found just what I was looking for! My eBay funds came through and I went ahead and placed my order. I just hope that it fits him right, he's a bit of a pain to fit, and fits 75 in some brands and can go all the way up to an 80 in others! I went for a 78, so here's hoping I got it right.

Shoot, my horse usually always looks better than me. I spend more time grooming him than I do myself. Lol

I also just spent $150 on a new set of clippers for him, I can't remember the last time I spent that much money on myself. They are so worth it though

My husband has teased me for YEARS about the 'Gucci Blankets' I buy for the horses and I pretty much shop GW Boutique (Goodwill) for me. I do have an LL Bean weakness though and I think this year I'm gonna indulge it a little.

Last year I spent $200 on one blanket for Oliver when he was sick after a $300 vet bill and I had just paid $500 in board. That was one pricey month all in two days!

Ollie have matching clothes, I Perfer the best on him brand wise, Rambo, Rhino, Ireland Wear and Centuar!

As for me I hit the cheap stores, get plenty of hand me downs and just save for the best for Ollie ;)
