So today my horse got moved to the other side of the farm. Hopefully it will be a good move too.

He was on the left side of the farm with 2 other horses. A mare and a gelding.

They all got along fine until recently when the mare was beating up my horse. She kept chasing him during feeding time and she would pick on him during the day.

So my trainer decided to move my horse to the right side of the farm. Theres a grey gelding who has 2 small fields to himself. So my trainer thought that he could use a new buddy. :)

So today i moved my horse next to the grey horse with the fence in the middle. I watched them sniffed each other for a bit and there was some noise going on too. Then they seemed to settle down.

My horse is in the new field on his own and the grey horse is on his own for now.. I dont know how long it will be until they can be together.

So i am crossing my fingers that they both get along and become friends.:D

The only thing i dont like about my horse meeting the grey horse..is that the grey horse has a habit of rolling and getting dirty.big time dirty! I dont want my horse to do the same thing. keeping a white horse clean is hard. :-p

I will keep everyone updated on how things are going with my horse and the grey horse.

I hope they get along too!

I'm thinking of moving my horse to another paddock, to make it easier for bringing them in and feeding by the workers. Right now they have to let him run across the yard to his stall at the other end of the property (coming in) and going out, they let him go inside the near barn and then put him in a stall. So it's very odd.

Update

Since tomorrow its susposed to rain/sleet ...my trainer wanted my horse and the grey one to meet together in the same field today. Of course i couldnt go to the barn to see the meet & greet. So i emailed my trainer instead to find out how it went. This is what she said...

It went really really well. They were playing halter games and I thought evening graining would be hard but "knock on wood" went great.

So i am happy that my horse is getting along with the grey horse. The grey horse finally has a buddy!!!!

Update w/pics

So my horse Kalypso and his new buddy Jackson are getting along great.:)

The only problem is that my trainer has to seperate them during feeding time in the morning and at night.

kalypso eats his food really fast and moves to eat jackson's food. Which isnt good because they get different kinds of food. So after they eat the food my trainer lets the 2 horses back together again to eat the hay.

But i am glad that they are getting along and my horse is not being chased by the mare.

These pics are day 3 of being together. :) They first met on tuesday. They were put together on wednesday.

They are good to go!
